There’s so much amazing Asian cuisine in Victoria that we had to make a separate section for it!
Chinese
Don Mee Seafood House
Pretty upscale, but superior quality food. Their daily dim sum is delicious, a lot of fun, and a super value.

Hope Key
For the best, and possibly cheapest, noodle boxes in town. Just past the 7 Eleven on Douglas Street. It’s the place that has the bubble tea. Tell Brenda you’re from the hostel and she will make sure your box is overly full. It seems un-restaurant like from the outside (more like a bubble tea/take-out place), but the interior has a charming and fun ambiance with rustic brick walls with Asian décor.

J & J Wonton Noodle House
Touted as Victoria’s best Chinese food so expect a crowd on weekends.Licensed to serve alcohol.
Wah Lai Yuen
It doesn’t get much more authentic than this little Chinese eatery. Very large servings and extremely good value. Double happiness!

Japanese Food & Sushi
Azuma Sushi
Japanese people are perhaps stereotypically the most polite people in the world, and Victoria and Canada are also both famous for politeness, so.... And the sushi is fantastic. These guys just underwent a major renovation and expansion too. Check it out!

Ebizo Sushi
A cosy restaurant that's licensed to serve alcohol. Great sushi and Japanese food at reasonable prices (you must try the chop chop scallop!). For those of you who are sports fans, two large-screen televisions situated at the bar play soccer, hockey, etc. (but with no sound for those of you who aren’t fans). Teresa's personal favourite. Mmmm..

The staff here is always fantastic and it's great quality sushi for a good price. Try it out... but don't even try to say the name 10 times fast.

This is one of those Japanese places that hardly even looks Japanese but the sushi is fan-freakin'-tastic! And cheap! Mmmm.

South Asian
Maharaja
If you actually catch this place when it's open (and they don't seem to follow any schedule, even their own posted hours), and if you don't mind the hit-and-miss service, they offer decent indian buffet for pretty cheap. And you can sit in there and watch really funny Indian music videos on this TV they have mounted in the wall.
637 Johnson Street. (map) 250- 388-5450
Sabri Indian Cuisine
We do sell their samosas, but they pale in comparison to the everyday buffet the restaurant boasts. With only two chicken dishes and array of vegetarian ones, this one is good for all sorts of people. It's worth the bus ride out and unless you choose to walk back to burn calories, you better wear something with an elastic waist.

Spice Jammer
Delicious East African Indian cuisine!
