Quick & Cheap

There's actually several decent options for quick, cheap and late eating in Victoria.

We've organized them in order of value for your cash.

If you want something other than pizza or pitas, check out the many downtown convenience stores!

$1.25 Pizza

Pizza Stop

100_8226 100_8211 100_8209

This place used to be really good pizza, about as healthy as it's possible to make, for cheaper than Second Slice. That's when these pictures were taken. The guy on the left is seasoning eggplant slices to put on top of their veggie pizza. Now their veggie pizza is this dismal feta-sloshed thing. It changed owners and now it's not really any better than Second Slice, and it's the same price. So now this is the place to go if Second Slice has too much of a line-up.

On Yates, between Douglas and Broad. Check out Pizza Stop on Google Maps!

"Ghetto slice" official name: Second Slice Pizza

These places have been around a couple years now. Pizza slices come to $1.25 with tax. Two locations on Douglas.

1310 Douglas (google directions link) and 1680 Douglas (google directions link)

$5 Pitas from heaven!

I put the pita pit in here because it's a better deal than the pizza underneath. A kick-ass wrap for $5 is a better deal than a $3 piece of pizza that tastes like a $1 piece of pizza, you know?

Pita Pit

A perfect post-night-of-drinking-at-the-bar, pre-stumble-back-home venue, the Pita Pit is just what you need when you're famished at 2am. Big, well-wrapped pitas filled with your choice of veggies and/or meat. Baba ghanouj, tzatziki, grilled chicken breast… good stuff. Pitas are becoming the new after-bar routine in Victoria.

Pacific Rim Pizza

The Joint Pizzaria & Deli

It's not 99 cents but damn it's fine. You also have your choice of organic whole wheat crust or organic white crust...it's really the healthiest pizza (& in my opinion) yummiest pizza around! Open late night as well. - Teresa
